LSTF was established as a Vietnamese non-governmental organization (NGO) in 2005 under Decision No. 5971/QĐ-UBND issued by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Our primary focus is on education and healthcare, which serve as crucial means to preserve the charitable and generous spirit of the two former Chairmen of the CT&D Group and Phu My Hung Development Corporation – Mr. Lawrence S. Ting and Mr. Ferdinand Tsien.
Over the past 15 years, our foundation has received generous contributions from the CT&D Group, Phu My Hung Development Corporation, as well as many domestic and international donors. Guided by the government at all levels and through various partnerships with nonprofit and non-governmental organizations, we have implemented numerous programs in the fields of education and healthcare.
In education, we are consistently committed to awarding scholarships to high school and university students, supporting computer laboratories, organizing e-learning course design competitions, and sponsoring the provision of computer-connected microscopes, among other initiatives.
In healthcare, we have supported the construction of two commune health centers, distributed medical supplies to many healthcare facilities in need through cooperation with MedShare, sponsored and built a Hemodialysis Unit at Nha Be District Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and distributed 24,664 wheelchairs across 63 provinces and other locations.
Other social support activities include building houses for those in need, organizing workshops, providing emergency relief, and hosting annual charity walks.
This support is a profound contribution to the development of a sustainable community to which we are dedicated.
